Death Valley

We finally made it to Death Vellay, and it happened to be spring time and jUst the right time. They say theres only a window of two weeks that flowers all in bloom and the desert is "painted." well, really it only happened to be this one spot here, and then all the rest was limited to only the road side. Im glad we got to see it though.

famous Salt flat

Salt crystals. 

I've since seen these in quite a few magazines

looks like Ehos tasting the salt. yikes. lol 

So the colors were pretty much only limited to the road side, but if you angle it just right you can make it AppEAr like it was all colorful.

these fluffy orange tumble weed looking things were everywhere; they were kinda cool

Looking back it does seem all colorful, but when were were there it was long monotonous desert driving more then color.

Old railroad trail

This is a hiking trail  out near the Hoover Damn.

I actually won an award for this picture through the parks and rec department. lol

We've gone back twice since near the same time and Ive not seen the flowers like this anymore.
