Confessional

I read parenting books because A) most of them were written by Dr. who are skilled in the subject of child behavior and I think from time to time it can't hurt to hear what they have to say. B) Perhaps it will remind us of a child's perspective, and or give us a new perspective. And C) it helps to re-motivate me to be an A or B mommy instead of a C grade one. Sometimes we poop out in life, slip up, loose focus, or get tired of our daily duties, and I dont think being a mommy is any different when hitting one of those kind of patches in life.
When I share something I lean read from a book its because I think its great advice that every parent should hear. Im excited to share my learnings. I then hear from time to time after sharing, "you are such a good mom." I just want to correct them and say not so much. Im decent sure. But I certainly aint no super mommy that has a sweet mousy voice in which out comes all the most perfect positive words. In fact my kids think Im mean, and I know I could always improve. I suppose my plus is that I do always try and improve and teach myself new things, but my downfall is short patience and a short fuse at times. Therefore, I will NEver sit here n pretend as if I am one awesome mommy. #justkeepinitreal.
