Island Life

This was just our first day...

Of course the first thing you have to do when visiting the ocean is walk to the water

then we went to visit a place called Leonard's bakery in which kir was told was extra yummy so we were all excited. Unfortunately the counter chick was an extra biotch that didn't leave a sweet taste in our mouths and I would therefor never recommend. (darn people with bad customer service.)

We got there super early and had rented a car for the whole week and of course couldn't check in till later, so we planned to just drive around most the island that day. There was pretty beach after beach of course and we couldn't just drive past all of them..

I had heard that there were lots of homeless camping everywhere, ...boy that was a true fact

After a while we cut inland a bit and saw this beautiful site.

the locals said this was very rare to see and some didnt even know what we were talking about

then the road cut back out and we stopped to see this island- Chinaman's hat its called.

this was the opposite side of the parking lot. Such a a lovely view!!

Next we made a random stop by this church temple just because it was pretty

 and I tried out the macro setting on Aspens lil camera I was using. Ntb for a lil point n shoot

there was flowers on everything, I was envious!

then it suddenly started raining and flooding

which of course made fun, dangerous rapids

 upstream from that was a major waterfall we were going to hike to. It apparently is normally a calm swimming hole, but the pouring rain gave it a new look

he puked. lol :)

That was the most part of our first day there
